Huge Channel 4 show mysteriously pulled from screens AND streaming with no explanation after fan backlash
A HUGE Channel 4 show has been pulled from screens and streaming with no explanation.
The broadcaster has taken First Dates off air in a mysterious last-minute schedule shake-up.
Fans tuned on Tuesday night hoping to get their latest fix of the hit-matching making series but were met with a repeat episode.
It led to viewers hitting out at Channel 4 as they demanded to know why the show had been pulled.
And now The Sun can reveal the series has also been removed from its catch-up services.
The 20th series is still available to stream, however, episode one of the new run has been axed after airing last week.
When contacted by The Sun a Channel 4 spokesperson simply said: “Episodes were removed for editorial reasons and the new series will resume next Tuesday at 10pm.”
First Dates star Fred Sirieix tweeted an apology to fans and reassured them the series would continue as normal.
He penned: “Breaking news #FirstDates episode 2 will go out next Tuesday at 10pm.
“Then the series will run every week until #Valentine Sorry for the inconvenience last night.”
During the first episode fans watched as a date took a raunchy turn.
They were introduced to Greg and Mercedes who were on their quest for love.
Greg revealed how he was a banker, and after a number of intimate questions, he soon realised Mercedes was a OnlyFans star.
