BBC in last minute schedule shake-up ahead of Gladiators launch – and fans are convinced they’ve worked out why
THE BBC have made a schedule change ahead of the Gladiators launching this weekend, and fans think they know the reason.
Funnyman Michael McIntyre has had the programmed episode of his Big Show swapped around.
During his Saturday night family programme the presenter chats with celebs about their lives and does comedy sketches.
This week’s episode was meant to feature Bradley Walsh and Joe Lycett.
However, that installment has now been pushed back by a week, and instead the Beeb will be airing an episode with Dermot O’Leary, Tony Hadley and Tom Kerridge.
A fan has speculated about why they think the change has been made.
Someone took to social media to ask: “Is there a reason why it’s been swapped?”
One person responded: “Something to do with the launch of Gladiators with Bradley at the helm, perhaps?
“Don’t want too much Brad on launch night – just in case it gets a bad reception?”
They are likely correct, as broadcasters tend to avoid featuring too much of one person on telly the same day.
The reboot of Gladiators will be coming to BBC One this Saturday, and is going to be hosted by Bradley Walsh and his son Barney.
Last month The Sun exclusively revealed a first look at the superhuman lineup.
Posing outside BBC HQ in London, they all had to brave the freezing cold in their barely there costumes.
Bradley is absolutely thrilled to be bringing the iconic gameshow back to UK audiences.
