‘The soap’s lost its way’ complain Emmerdale fans – branding love triangle ‘exactly what’s wrong with the world’
EMMERDALE fans have slammed the soap for ‘losing its way’ after taking aim at its latest storyline.
The ITV soap launched a shock affair between Tracy Robinson and Caleb Milligan back in November.
However Tracy called it off over Christmas, insisting she loved husband Nate.
But Caleb couldn’t keep away from her, and during last night’s episode, the pair rekindled their affair as Tracy insisted she could “have it all.”
Nate had almost caught them when he returned home to look for his phone before setting off on a job.
Giving him a kiss before he headed off again, Caleb then came down the stairs and said: “That was too close.”
She replied: “I guess we need to be more careful.”
Caleb asked if she was sure she wanted to do this, considering what she’d said earlier and she replied: “I said I can have it all, and that includes you.”
Unfortunately for Emmerdale bosses, viewers have shared their hatred for the storyline on social media.
One wrote: “Nate is a really pointless character, Tracy & Caleb make me want to [vomit emoji] in fact, the programme has really lost its way ….”
Another tweeted: “Honestly the whole Nate and Tracey story line is exactly what is wrong with the world! Why promote that s***.”
A third added: “I understand why Tracy is cheating on Nate the character is boring. The writers haven’t given Nate character development.
“Caleb has more money and higher social status. The audience doesn’t know much about Nate. Tracy wants excitement. Nate has no personality.”
Meanwhile a fourth shared: “Really getting fed up with Caleb and Tracy now!”
Emmerdale airs on ITV1 and is available on ITVX.
