I ditched my grim chav eyebrows and ombre hair for a more natural look – people say it’s the’ biggest step up’
EVER LOOK back and pictures of yourself in years gone by and think “what was I thinking”?
Wish you could erase all pictures of yourself before you knew how to use an eyebrow pencil from existence?
One woman has shared her impressive transformation after she ditched her “chav” makeup and went for a more simple beauty regime.
Lauren Innis shared her glow up via a video posted to her Tiktok channel @laureninnis where she often posts fashion tricks and outfit inspiration.
The caption to Lauren’s video reads: “I’m going to show you all my chav glow up”, alongside two crying emojis.
Referring to her looks before the glow up, she said: “It’s actually grim”.
The term chav often refers to people associated with wearing sportswear and lots of makeup, including thick, block eyebrows and foundation.
It was a popular look in the 2000s but has since been replaced by the more natural “clean girl” trend.
In “before” pictures, Lauren can be seen with bright blonde ombre hair, thick red lipstick and heavily painted on eyebrows.
On her nails are impractically long pink acrylic nails and she wears large hoop earrings and Nike sweatshirts paired with skinny jeans.
In one picture, Lauren is doing the classic hand on hip pout pose, which accentuates the overuse of highlighter on her face.
In “after” pictures, Lauren looks unrecognisable.
She has ditched the ombre for a much more natural shade of brown and her eyebrows have a feathered look, instead of all being in one block.
Instead of heavy makeup, Lauren has opted for more natural tones that blend in well with her face.
She’s also swapped her massive hoops for tiny gold ones and wears stylish wide leg jeans instead of skinny ones.
The video is sure to have left many open mouthed as it racked up an impressive 348,0000 views and almost 100,000 likes
TikTok users raced to the videos comments section to share their thoughts on Lauren’s glow up.
One user said: “This style just compliments you in every way like it’s the biggest step up.”
Another user added: “The ombre hair to dark hair was a cultural reset and i’m living for it.”
