My DIY Korean beauty secret takes seconds to make and will give you ‘glass skin’ – it’s only three ingredients
A SKINCARE enthusiast has shared her three-ingredient recipe for “glass skin.”
The Korean beauty secret took just seconds to make at home.
Arwa Khudhur (@arwaa.khu) shared her skincare tips in a Reel on Instagram.
“Korean beauty secret,” read the text. “Glass skin.”
The term “glass skin” comes from a K-beauty trend of achieving smooth and shiny skin through a sometimes rigorous routine.
Arwa went for practicality however, using her simple and quick recipe for a flawless visage.
First, she filmed herself cutting open an aloe vera plant and extracting the gel.
She added the fresh aloe vera gel along with rice flour and water in a mixing bowl.
“Keep on [your face] for 10 minutes, [then] wash off,” she added.
The Reel drew in many viewers who weighed in on the DIY face mask for glass skin.
Many supported Arwa’s three-ingredient concoction for easy at-home skincare.
“I tried this today and add honey also for moisturize skin. It was nice,” one wrote.
“Been using this since a year or more now and have the clearest skin ever. You can add milk and Manuka honey if you don’t like using aloe like me,” another added.
One cosmetology formulator, however, expressed some concerns over the DIY face mask.
“Korean people use active ingredients in their skincare routine such as: Retinol, Niacinamide, Hyaluronic Acid, AHAs, BHAs, Ascorbic acid, and many other vitamins,” she wrote.
“Please don’t use anything on your face or you might get infections.
“It’s better to see a dermatologist and he will be in charge to prescribe what’s the best for your skin,” she added. “Please take care of yourself.”
