I’m a 52-year-old makeup fanatic – I tried TikTok’s $15 viral under eye powder, it gave an amazing lift with no creases
A MOM in her fifties has been wowed by a powder that subtly brightens the under-eye area without creasing.
She decided to give the makeup product a try after seeing it go viral across social media.
Jo (@joanne_baxter) has garnered over 56,000 followers on TikTok, where she shares beauty tips for mature women.
The 52-year-old took to the social media platform to give her verdict on The Beauty Crop Vitamin Babe Loose Setting Powder after seeing TikTokers rave about it.
She used a new puff to apply the pink powder which cost $15 from Walmart.
“I really like the fact that it comes with a little mesh so that you can just get enough out,” she said opening the powder.
“I’m just gonna apply some on one side of my face and I’m going to apply it quite liberally and kind of bake it.”
Jo had already done her skincare routine and applied foundation before putting on the powder.
She was amazed by how the powder brightened her under-eye skin and made her eyes look wider.
“It’s really nice and mattifying,” she said. “I’ve used it along my jawline as well so let’s brush it out and see what the final sculpt is looking like.”
Jo was pleasantly surprised by how the powder made the right side of her face subtly brighter as she compared it to the left side which didn’t have any on.
She decided to put the “beautiful” pink color on her forehead, chin, and underneath her other eye for a full-face look.
“I think that is absolutely amazing and for the price, it is absolutely worth the spend,” she said.
“I have to say on 52-year-old skin this works an absolute treat.
“I have many, many powders. I have some that I prefer to others but for on a budget, affordable powders, this is absolutely beautiful.
“It’s brightening and mattifying the skin.
“And if you are mature and you’re like me worrying about under eye creasing and crepey, then don’t be because this is perfect.
“I’m glad I tried it out for you because I was dubious and it is a hit with me.”
The video received hundreds of likes from people who were impressed by the setting powder.
Many people took to the comment section complimenting Jo on her age-defying appearance.
“Did I just hear right… 52? Would never have thought that. Thought late 20s perhaps, look amazing,” one person wrote.
“You look absolutely amazing for 52… I would have put you late 30s or early forties,” another said.
