I have 6 tips to look years younger without makeup – you can buy the ‘best kept secret’ of MUAs like me at Target
A PROFESSIONAL makeup artist is spilling the beauty beans on how anyone can look years younger for less.
The best part was that it was possible to do it on a budget – and without makeup.
“Six makeup tricks to take a couple years off your beautiful face,” said Kate Albert (@katealbertmua).
Her first tip involved rolling your eye cream into the under eye area.
“You want to move it up and out so that you get rid of that fluid buildup,” she explained.
Her favorite beauty buy was also affordable.
“One of the best kept makeup artist secrets – eye drops. The best ones are from Lumify. You can get these at Target,” said Kate.
She explained how just one drop in each eye immediately brightens the whites of your eye.
There was a crucial reason why her tip helped to turn back the aging clock.
“As we mature the whites of our eyes can actually start to darken a little bit,” she said.
Lumify eyedrops that can be found for $12.99 at Target are described as being the only over-the-counter drop containing the active ingredient brimonidine which targets redness.
This leads to more radiant eyes – and apparently lots of five-star reviews.
“Literally works in one minute. I was so surprised I could see visible results so quickly. Definitely recommend!” wrote this satisfied customer.
“The best whitening eye drops on the market! Great price and super effective! These are my go to eye drops,” another impressed shopper chimed in.
If you want the most skin like finish from your foundation, the best tools are free – your hands.
“I like to take just two fingers and really press it into the skin. It helps that makeup to actually melt into your skin and look like skin,” Kate explained.
Her other piece of advice is to make sure those hands are clean before putting them to any beauty routine work.
Kate’s next tip seemed to provide multiple benefits.
“Mix in a drop of primer into your concealer. This is going to give it extra longevity. But it’s also going to help that product to melt into the skin and give you better coverage.”
For best results, just apply with your finger and tap away.
She also wants you to beware of one popular beauty buy in particular.
“Just say no to translucent or white powders. All they do is spotlight imperfections.”
Instead, she recommends a powder that has a little bit of a tint to it.
“They are much easier to work with and much more forgiving,” she advised.
Lastly, she explained how you could up your glam game by adding some cream bronzer into your routine.
“You want a cream because it’s going to melt and it’s going to mimic the actual look of the sun.”
She didn’t see anything wrong with faking it in order to avoid exposure to harmful rays.
Kate also made clear that she finds aging to be a beautiful process – she just wanted to give sophisticated skin a bit of a boost.
The makeup artist’s fans were obsessing over her tips – and her own appearance.
“Your skin looks amazing!” said this impressed follower.
“Thank you!” she replied.
“Love the under eye prep!” another said of her favorite age-defying trick.
Others had questions for the beauty pro.
“Thoughts on pink setting powders?” asked this viewer.
“I think they can definitely have a brightening effect but I don’t love them for mature skin,” answered Kate.
