‘Stop lying’ say Love Island fans who can’t believe Scott’s ‘real age’ amid rumours he’ll return to show for All Stars
LOVE Island fans could not believe Scott van-der-Sluis’ real age amid rumours he’ll return to the show for All Stars.
The reality TV star took to X/Twitter with a birthday post after the hectic year he’s had.
Scott captioned the selfie: “Here’s to 23. Thank you for all the messages, what a year aye.”
One fan commented: “23? What?”
Another added: “Damn my boyyy thought he was like 26.”
A third penned: “Happy Birthday Scott, only 23 though wowzers, just seem a lot more wiser than most that age.”
A fourth wrote: “You mean 23 years past 23 ain’t no way you 23.”
A fifth added: ‘”YOURE 23?!!?!!!?”
The football player left fans gobsmacked when he entered Love Island USA shortly after leaving the UK version and then went on to film The Games.
Speaking about his controversial decision, Scott admitted that he was solely driven by money.
He told GK Barry on her Saving Grace podcast: “I had a week at home and then I got a call one day.
“First thing, I was like no and they went ‘we want you to do the USA one’ and I had heard about the Love Island games thing they were doing and they went ‘we want you to do this and this’ and put a figure in front of me and I was like ‘I’m going to f***king do it’.
“It was pretty much that. With the social media ban we are not getting as much as previous years, lets face it so if someone puts a figure in front of you – you are going to do it.
“I knew I would get the reaction I am getting. Coming out the USA one, I knew people would turn on me.”
It’s thought Scott was paid £100,000 for taking part in the shows.
