Vehicle hits pedestrian in East San Jose, causing life-threatening injuries
SAN JOSE — A person is facing life-threatening injuries after they were hit by a vehicle in East San Jose on Thursday morning, according to authorities.
The collision was reported to police at 6:43 a.m. The person, who was not identified, was walking in the area of Quimby and South White roads when a vehicle hit them. No other details regarding the crash were immediately made available.
Units are currently in the area of Quimby Rd and S White Rd for a major injury collision involving a pedestrian. The pedestrian was transported to a local hospital with life threatening injuries.

Police say the person is in the hospital with life-threatening injuries.
Quimby Road was closed between Lovewood Way and White Road as of 10:30 a.m. as police investigated. There was no word on when the street would reopen.
