‘The Traitors’ season 2 sneak peek video: Queen Sandra is ‘here to destroy’ the competition [WATCH]
They don’t call her Queen Sandra for nothin’.
In a new sneak peek video for “The Traitors” Season 2, two-time “Survivor” winner Sandra Diaz-Twine (for “Pearl Islands” and “Heroes vs. Villains”) proudly declares, “You would think I’m your best friend, when in fact, I’m here to destroy you.” She comes into Peacock’s reality TV show with a villainous reputation for turning on anyone as long as it takes her further in the game. Watch the trailer above.
On “The Traitors,” she will be reunited with Parvati Shallow, a “Survivor” champion in her own right (for “Micronesia — Fans vs. Favorites”) who previously lost to Sandra on “Heroes vs. Villains.” Will they prove to be allies in this new competition? Or will they let old feuds get the better of them? Stay tuned.
“I’m a poisonous spider crawling up to get you when you least expect it,” Parvati hisses in the dramatic promo video. “The Traitors” Season 2 premieres with three episodes on Peacock on Friday, January 12. Following that, one episode will air every Thursday night until the finale.
While Sandra and Parvati are the only two “Survivor” alumni within “The Traitors” cast, there are also recognizable faces from “Big Brother,” “The Challenge,” “Love Island,” “Real Housewives,” “Bling Empire,” “Dancing with the Stars,” “Shahs of Sunset,” “RuPaul’s Drag Race” and “The Bachelor” to keep fans entertained.
In addition, real-life notable figures like boxer Deontay Wilder, basketball player Marcus Jordan and former UK Parliament member John Bercow are part of the Season 2 cast. See photos of the contestants in our gallery below.
Just like last season, the new installment will take place in the Scottish Highlands with Alan Cumming serving as the impeccably dressed host. And this time around, he’ll have a cute sidekick in the form of his dog Lala. The cast will be randomly divided into villainous Traitors (those who lie, cheat and steal) and heroic Faithfuls (those who try to uncover the truth). The ultimate winner will take home a cash prize of up to $250,000.
Season 1 of “The Traitors” just took home a 2023 Emmy Award for Best Reality Casting. The winning contestant last year turned out to be Cirie Fields, a four-time “Survivor” legend who recently competed on Season 25 of “Big Brother.”
