I’m a 24-year-old traditional housewife – I love to feed the patriarchy, my day’s filled with baking, sewing, & cleaning
A YOUNG housewife seemed to relish her traditional role of taking care of her home and family.
She gave a glimpse into her everyday life that included working hard in the kitchen rather than in the corporate world.
“Morning in my life as a 24-year-old housewife,” said Grace (@thatjoyfilledhome).
Holding up her mug that read I love to feed the patriarchy, it was clear that she was content with her typical weekday routine.
Grace’s morning started off bright and early at 5am when she had her first cup of coffee.
And judging from her long list of to-dos, she was going to need it.
After seeing her husband off to work with a hug, she attended to her toddler before getting ready herself by doing her hair.
She then enjoyed some fresh air before breakfast cleanup which included scrubbing down a highchair.
This was followed up by some baking – and it was barely eight o’clock in the morning.
Living in the country did have some advantages – like watching wild turkeys from the window with her binoculars.
Then it was back to work.
Grace did laundry and zone cleaning which in her case included making the bed.
By 8:30 it was time for her next task – or two.
“Meal planning and playing,” said the young mom as she could be seen entertaining her young child.
She then moved on to tidying what she referred to as hot spots around the house such as the items strewn about a desk.
“Lunch with a friend and fellowshipping,” she said of her early afternoon agenda.
This also seemed to include plenty of freshly made chocolate chip cookies.
And her day wasn’t done just yet as she still had lots of housework on the horizon.
Still, the housewife was able to have some time to herself.
“Nap time, sewing, reading time,” she said.
Grace then geared up for prepping and starting dinner as she chopped chicken that she then put into a pot on the stove.
She also seemed to have a daily ritual.
“Home blessing hour before hubby gets home,” she said.
By 4:30 all that was left to do were some unfinished tasks and post-dinner cleanup.
Fans of the busy wife and mom were impressed with her multi-tasking skills.
“I hope to be like this one day,” one follower remarked.
“I am nowhere near this productive ever. My kids require so much hands on time and energy that most chores don’t get done until my husband gets home,” another viewer shared.
“I’m sure this will change eventually. Different seasons of life,” she replied.
“Love this! Also that sewing machine, classic!” said this enthused follower.
According to Gallup polls, 56% of women in America prefer to work outside of the home.
