The Madras High Court has issued a warning to YouTubers and social media writers who target and troll transgenders. YouTuber Joe Micheal Praveen has been ordered to pay Rs 50 lakh as compensation to transgender-celebrity Apsara Reddy, while Google has been exempted from a penalty. Apsara Reddy sought damages for defamatory YouTube videos and requested Google to remove them.
