Shoppers are only just realising what the Terry’s Chocolate Orange box is really for and it’s blowing people’s minds
IF you’re anything like us, you probably disregarded the entire box and wrapper of your Terry’s Chocolate Orange.
But according to one chocolate fan that’s exactly what you shouldn’t do.
It turns out the little plastic container in the box has a very savvy use, at least according to one foodie.
Mike Phoenix raved about the trick on TikTok and it’s completely blowing people’s minds.
In the clip, Mike removed the sweet treat from the box to reveal the clear plastic part of the packaging.
Instead of chucking it in the bin, he folded the ends together and clicked them into place using the indents in the corners.
The plastic made the perfect stand the the round orange, and what’s even better is once you’ve broke the segments you can still keep it all together in the plastic stand.
Foodies were impressed with the hack and couldn’t believe they hadn’t already thought of it.
“This make sense to be fair,” one wrote.
A second agreed: “I’m going to try this next time!
A third chimed in: “Could’ve done with this before Christmas!”
And another said: “It’s gonna be 12 months before I eat another chocolate orange and what’re the chances of me remembering?”
Meanwhile, other foodies didn’t think there was much point to the trick, “Who keeps a Terrys Chocolate Orange long enough to display it?” One person pointed out.
In other chocolate news, back in October fans of the Christmas food staple went wild for a new chocolate bar on supermarket shelves.
The Terry’s Chocolate Orange snowball bar is a new twist on a classic flavour.
The grub has all delicious flavours of the iconic Terry’s Chocolate Orange, but also has added crunchy chocolate snowball pieces throughout – what’s not to love?
One happy customer rushed to Facebook to let others know the new desserts were on supermarket shelves.
In the Food Finds UK Official group, she said: “My new favourite.”
