Vipers Game Day – Vipers Finish Weekend Hosting Express

Vernon, BC:  Hot on the heels of a good effort, but an imperfect result, the Vipers look to finish their weekend with a split as they host the Coquitlam Express tonight at 6pm.

Last Game:  Luke Bibby scored the lone goal and Colin Reay made 39 saves on 41 shots, but the Vipers ultimately lost 2-1 in Penticton last night.  The Vipers surrendered a powerplay goal in the second period which stood up as the game winner.  The coaching staff felt the effort and energy was excellent, but the inability to convert on chances cost them.

Last Game:  Coquitlam comes in after their second consecutive loss to the Surrey Eagles, 4-2 last night at the South Surrey Arena.  The Express have been on a season long 7-game road trip that ends tonight.  With the loss last night Coquitlam is 1-5 so far through 6 games.  Cole Melady and Jake Manfre scored the Express goals while Adam Manji had 34 saves on 37 shots.  The Express powerplay struggled going 0 for 5.
