My lip products stay on all day without wearing off – my trick makes it look smoother and works with matte or gloss
A BEAUTY enthusiast has solved the age-old issue of keeping lip products in place.
She said her makeup hack will keep any rouge from wearing off midday, whether it’s matte or gloss formulation.
Peyton Smith (@misspeytonsmith) filmed herself demonstrating the lip tip in a video on TikTok.
“How do I keep my lip products on, wearing all day without them coming off. I’ll show you how,” she said.
“All you need is a setting powder. This is a great hack that a lot of people have at home, but all you want to do is get a pressed powder before you put your lip products on,” she said.
She applied the setting powder prior to application of the lip product.
“Set down your lips. This is going to add a little bit of a film on top of it. So when you pop your lip products on it’s going to have something to grip on, so it last longer,” she said.
“Not only that, it gives it a good gripping base, so your lip line is going a lot more smoother, as you can see. I popped my lip products on, and it doesn’t disturb the lip products,” she added.
She also gave some advice on how to take the lip hack to the next level.
“Now, if you wanted to go a little bit further. you could also add a little bit of setting powder on top of the lips and that will also help it stay longer with this,” she advised.
“I just get a little bit of setting powder on my powder puff. Make sure you blend it on the hand first and then go over and lightly tap it.
“This will definitely matte down the lips. so even if you want to just make your lips look a little more matte.
“This is a great technique, then we’re going to pop a gloss on top, and I’m going to show you how it still looks fine.
“I’m just lightly applying a little bit of gloss and you’re all done,” she added.
The video drew in many viewers who weighed in on the beauty advice.
“What is the thing you use to apply the powder called? I’ve been looking for one and don’t know what it’s called,” one wrote.
“Hey lovely,” Peyton replied. “Powder puffs from Amazon.”
