Winter weather, fog advisories issued across Kansas

TOPEKA (KSNT) - The National Weather Service (NWS) is issuing fog advisories across Kansas on Monday.

The NWS has issued fog advisories for numerous counties across the Sunflower State on Jan. 22 running through to Jan. 23. Earlier in the day, the NWS also issued several winter weather advisories for areas in Kansas. Active advisories include the following:

  • Dense fog advisory - Barton, Ellsworth, Harper, Harvey, Kingman, Lincoln, McPherson, Reno, Rice, Russell, Saline, Sedgwick and Sumner Counties until noon on Jan. 23.
  • Dense fog advisory - Barber, Comanche, Kiowa, Pratt and Stafford Counties until 10 a.m. on Jan. 23.
  • Freezing fog advisory - Clark, Edwards, Ellis, Finney, Ford, grant, Gray, Hamilton, Haskell, Hodgeman, Kearny, Lane, Meade, Morton, Ness, Pawnee, Rush, Scott, Seward, Stanton, Stevens and Trego Counties until 10 a.m. on Jan. 23.
  • Dense fog advisory - Jewell, Mitchell, Osborne, Phillips, Rooks and Smith Counties until noon on Jan. 23.
  • Dense fog advisory - Cheyenne, Decatur, Gove, Graham, Greeley, Logan, Norton, Rawlins, Sheridan, Sherman, Thomas, Wallace and Wichita Counties until noon on Jan. 23.
  • Dense fog advisory - Clay, Cloud, Marshall, Nemaha, Ottawa, Republic and Washington Counties until 11 a.m. on Jan. 23
  • Winter weather advisory - Atchison, Doniphan and Leavenworth Counties until 6 a.m. on Jan. 23.
  • Winter weather advisory - Brown, Clay, Cloud, Coffey, Dickinson, Douglas, Franklin, Geary, Jackson, Jefferson, Lyon, Marshall, Morris, Nemaha, Osage, Ottawa, Pottawatomie, Republic, Riley, Shawnee, Wabaunsee and Washington Counties until 6 a.m. on Jan. 23.
  • Winter weather advisory - Butler, Chase, Greenwood, Harvey, Marion, McPherson and Saline Counties until 6 a.m. on Jan. 23.
