WEATHER ALERT DAY: Freezing rain possible overnight in Columbus area

Good Monday Evening,
It has been our warmest day in nearly a week and a half today, with temps in the upper 30s and actual sunshine returning too. This will help parts of our area overnight tonight and into Tuesday as road surface temps were allowed to warm up a bit today. Tonight, expect clouds to thicken up, as temps fall to near freezing with cold rain returning, with freezing rain late tonight.
Tuesday morning, we will have our best chances of freezing rain from I-71 and north and west, with lesser chances south and east due to slightly warmer air temps, and warmer surface temps from sunshine on Monday. Temps will slowly climb on Tuesday morning with temps in the middle to upper 30s by lunch with cold rain showers falling.
Cold showers will continue through the day on Tuesday with highs in the upper 30s to near 40. Temps will not fall much Tuesday night with temps climbing to the upper 40s to near 50 on Wednesday with showers continuing. More rain will remain on Thursday with warmer air in the middle 50s expected. Showers will taper off Friday morning, with mainly cloudy skies on Friday, and highs still in the lower 50s.
The weekend will start off cloudy on Saturday with temps still above normal in the middle 40s. Rain showers will return on Sunday with cooler temps expected as highs will be near 40. Sunday night temps will finally fall back below freezing after a 5-6 day stretch of thawing. Clouds will remain for early next week with highs in the upper 30s to near 40.
