I furnished my entire home with cheap Facebook Marketplace buys…I got stuff for free & a sofa so good it’s in TWO rooms
A WOMAN has revealed that she furnished her entire home with cheap bargains from Facebook Marketplace.
So if your home is in need of a makeover, but you don’t have lots of cash to splash, you’ll need to listen up.
Becky Chorlton, thrifter and owner of ‘Becky’s Bazaar’ – a second-hand business reselling vintage garments – explained that she bought a variety of items from Facebook, including her ‘dream’ dining table and even a TV cabinet, which she got for free.
Thrilled with her cheap finds, Becky took to social media to show them off.
In a short clip, Becky wrote: “Four months on and the thrifted furniture is still going strong.”
She then gave her followers a close-up look around her home, as she said: “I furnished my entire house using Facebook Marketplace and four months on, here’s a little recap of some of my favourite items I thrifted and how I styled them.
“First up, we got super lucky and found an item for free. It was this TV box cabinet, which we put in the games room.”
Not only this, but then then showed off her new dining room table, as well as a funky accessory for her living room, as she added: “We managed to find our dream dining room table for £150. We had to drive halfway across the country for it, but it was 100% worth it.
“This might be one of my favourite finds. I managed to find this giant, smiley face for £35. I absolutely love him and he works perfectly in the living room.”
As well as this, but Becky also found a sofa, which she been able to put in two rooms in her home, as well as a step ladder.
She continued: “Next up I found this modular sofa on Facebook for £200. I absolutely love the colour and it works perfectly in both the living room and the games room.
“Next up we found this vintage step ladder – we actually got it for £20. I was so happy with how it looked in the corner of the room.”
But if that’s not all, Becky then claimed that she bought a lamp, which was £30 – and you won’t believe how much it’s worth.
The thrifter then shared: “We found this arched lamp, which we actually ended up getting for £30. It’s a lamp worth £600, which is crazy.
“I also managed to find a lampshade in the charity shop for £3.99 and here’s what it ended up looking like. I’m so happy with it.”
The TikTok clip, which was posted under the username @beckysbazaar, just two days ago, has clearly impressed many, as it has quickly racked up a staggering 207,700 views.
Social media users were stunned at Becky’s cheap homeware items and many took to the comments to express this.
One person said: “It’s actually amazing what you’ve managed to find on Facebook!”
Another added: “Love the stepladder and the plant, genius.”
A third commented: “So lucky with that arch lamp shade!!”
To this, Becky replied: “Thank you!! I was manifesting finding it for ages.”
At the same time, another user wrote: “Sofa is so beautiful.”
Whilst one person then claimed: “You have great style.”
