Tom married his wife Beth Cullen-Kerridge, who is a sculptor, in 2000.
Together the couple have one child, a son called Acey, who was born in 2015.
Speaking about his relationship with his wife, Tom told the author Paul Stenning: “My relationship with Beth is fantastic but in our first year living and working together she left me three times!
“It wasn’t what she was used to doing and for every penny you both own to be invested in the business, and for that to be virtually all you are doing with your time is hard.
“We had everything in our life in the one room and it was all above the place we were working, where I was putting in a 90 hour a week shift.
“It becomes a huge pressure on your relationship but it also cements it and makes it very strong. We’ve been through a lot together.”

In 2005, together with his wife, Tom opened gastropub The Hand & Flower.
It was so successful that within a year of opening, the chef got his first Michelin star, this was followed by a second in 2012.

Tom previously said: “When we opened The Hand and Flowers in 2005, we wanted it to be exactly the kind of place where we would like to enjoy our days off. That meant a proper pub, but with proper food.

Fans can eat at the pub, and also stay there too.
Tom has two pubs, and his second, The Coach, can also be found in Marlow.
The chef opened the posh pub in 2015, adding to his empire.

In June 2023, Tom’s Fish and Chips at Harrods was slammed after it was revealed it costs £35 – and you only get eight fries.
Critics branded it “pretentious” and “ridiculous”, but Tom said: “This Market Day Fish is made with my light and crisp, gluten-free batter, served with triple-cooked chips.”
