She looks tacky, pathetic and desperate for attention,’ people tear guest apart for dress she wore to ‘formal’ wedding
WARDROBE choices have never looked so disastrous for one wedding guest.
Her dress was considered wholly inappropriate for the formal ceremony and people tore her fashion choices apart.
She may have felt special in her gown, but others regarded it as tacky, pathetic, and desperate for attention.
This lady broke the golden rule of weddings: never upstage the bride.
One of the other guests shared her dismay when she saw the gown and posted it on Reddit.
“Saw an acquaintance at a wedding last night. Still shocked at what she wore.”
It had been her original intention to wear a puff-skirt attachment, giving the dress even more bridal/princess vibes, but only decided to go without because she was afraid it might “drag.”
Instead, she wore just the blingy, floor-skimming, body-hugging, show-stopper dress, that grabbed the attention of other guests.
But it was the wrong kind of attention, and they were quick to show their displeasure.
Commenters to the Reddit post were uniformly appalled at her disregard for wedding conventions.
This person summed up the views of many: “Wearing a wedding dress to someone else’s wedding makes a person look pathetic and sadly desperate for attention.”
It was a view confirmed by this Redditor: “Wearing white to a wedding that’s not yours just SCREAMS you’re tacky, low class, and desperate for attention.”
She had some nerve said this commenter: “That is fully a wedding dress. The actual audacity to wear that to a wedding. My mind is blown someone would genuinely consider wearing that.”
It was an act of self-absorption said this person: “It’s crazy to me that people like this have friends shopping for a dress to wear to a friend’s wedding at a wedding dress shop. It is beyond narcissistic.”
Perhaps, suggested this commenter, one should feel pity.
“You honestly have to be so broken as a person to be unable to not have the attention on you for even a moment, even at another person’s wedding. Just get some f-ing therapy.”
