My cheap tip will heat your house up quick – it took me a half hour and my home got to 80 degrees
IF heating your home this winter is eating into your savings, this hack might be for you.
A budgeting enthusiast has shared a quick trick she uses to keep warm without breaking the bank.
In her video, Keisha Griffin (@mzrmack39) showed her followers her simple home hack.
The TikToker revealed that her space felt warmer just 30 minutes after she implemented her DIY heating technique.
“If you want to heat your house up quick, try this,” she told her viewers.
Keisha demonstrated how easy the two tips are to carry out in any home.
First, she partially filled a saucepan with water and placed it on her stovetop.
Keisha also added a pinch of salt to the water, which she then brought to a boil.
For her next tip, she turned on her oven, setting it to 350 degrees Fahrenheit.
She revealed in the caption of the clip that she left her oven on for a total of 30 minutes.
By the end of this time, Keisha estimated that “your house will be around 80 [degrees Fahrenheit].”
Her followers shared their thoughts on the hacks in the comments section.
“Girl yes, my heating just went off and it’s -20 [degrees Fahrenheit], I’ve got my oven on and I’m boiling water,” wrote one viewer.
“Thank you so much. I was panicking for real,” said another TikTok user.
“My old home has issues, lots of breezes, poor insulation. I’m going to try baking this week,” commented a third person.
Another woman shared the hack her husband uses to heat their home in sub-zero temperatures.
A second TikToker revealed the exact temperature to set your heaters on to reduce your bills.
