The rush was such that the chief of the state's home department Sanjay Prasad as well as director general (law and order) Prashant Kumar, along with IG Range, Ayodhya, Praveen Kumar stationed themselves inside the sanctum sanctorum of the temple to monitor the situation. Yogi Adityanath also conducted an aerial survey of the temple complex to gauge the status. The situation was brought under control eventually.
