Nikki Haley furiously deflects as CNN's Dana Bash confronts her with Trump rape liability

GOP presidential hopeful Nikki Haley has ratcheted up her attacks on former President Donald Trump, but she still seems reluctant to criticize him for being found liable by a jury of sexually abusing writer E. Jean Carroll.

During an interview on CNN, host Dana Bash tried to press Haley on the verdict and whether she would endorse Trump if she lost the presidential primary to him.

Haley indicated that she would on the grounds that "I don't ever want to see a President Kamala Harris."

Bash, however, was not giving up.

"You think a President Kamala Harris would be more dangerous than somebody who has been alleged to and has been found liable for the conduct that is described?" she asked.

Haley again deflected.

"What I worry about is the media doesn't think Americans are smart enough to see that," Haley replied. "Americans are going to look... do they want someone that's tied up in investigations? No, Biden and Trump are both tied up in investigations."

While it's true that Biden is being investigated by Republicans in the House of Representatives, there are no indications that he is facing any kind of criminal investigation whatsoever, whereas Trump has been indicted in four different jurisdictions.
