'Insist on whiffing': 'Grumpy' Republicans skewered for griping about having 'no wins'
Since they won the majority in the House, Republicans' list of achievements has been short — and they've only got themselves to blame, according to MSNBC's Hayes Brown.
"Most of their time has been spent dealing with intraparty conflict, including, but not limited to, the overthrow of their first choice for speaker of the House," Brown wrote.
Thanks to the short list of accomplishments, it's understandable that Republicans are now griping about their lack of progress, Brown contends.
"In fact, the minority party has searched for something, anything, that could win support in both parties, offering up real, tangible concessions on important issues," Brown continued. "But Republicans, rather than capitalize on the opportunities that Democrats have teed up, insist on whiffing entirely."

Brown points to the irony of Republicans who complain about their lack of wins, but who also stand in the way of their own success. Even Arizona GOP Rep. Andy Biggs acknowledged the problem during an interview on Newsmax, where he said Republicans "have nothing" to sell as they hit the election campaign trail.
"In my opinion, we have nothing to go out there and campaign on," he said.
But in the modern day GOP, compromise has become a thing to be avoided at all costs, according to Brown. When Republicans only control half of the House, they can't expect "total capitulation from Democrats in favor of everything that makes up the MAGA agenda."
