Sudan denounces EU sanctions against economic institutions as "unjust"

KHARTOUM, Jan. 23 (Xinhua) -- Sudan's Foreign Ministry on Tuesday denounced as "unjust" the sanctions imposed by the European Union on Sudanese economic institutions.

"The sanction operation, which is especially directed against (Sudan's) national institutions, will not help achieve peace," the ministry said in a statement.
