An Iraqi militia coalition headed by Shia militia group Kata'ib Hezbollah ramped up attacks on US forces across Iraq and Syria in mid-October, and has sought to target Israel, in solidarity with Gazans among Israel's ongoing military campaign in the besieged enclave. US forces in the region have been targeted over 140 times since October 17.
