0

The Ministry of Migrants and Repatriates of Afghanistan has announced that over three hundred Afghan migrants residing in Pakistan have been expelled from the country.

On Tuesday, the ministry reported that 317 Afghan migrants have returned to Afghanistan through various border crossings after being expelled.

The Ministry of Migrants and Repatriates added that the migrants entered to the country on Monday, January 22nd through the Torkham and Spin Boldak border crossings.

It’s worth mentioning that recently, Afghan migrants who were newly expelled from Pakistan have been registered with the Ministry of Migrants and introduced to assist the offices of the United Nations High Commissioner for Refugees, the World Food Programme, and the International Organization for Migration.

There has been a significant surge in the expulsion of Afghan citizens from Pakistan recently.

This situation comes at a challenging time as these newly expelled individuals from Pakistan are simultaneously facing numerous difficulties, especially with the onset of winter and the lack of essential resources for their livelihood.

This highlights the need for greater support for Afghan migrants who have faced expulsion from Pakistan.
