'Foggier': Biographer thinks Trump has 'degraded' his already 'weak memory'
One of Donald Trump's biographers, Bloomberg editorial editor Tim O'Brien, explained that there is a noticeable difference in the ex-president since he last ran for office.
Speaking to MSNBC on Sunday, host Alex Witt questioned the "gaffes" Trump keeps making on the campaign trail.
O'Brien explained that when Trump stumbles, he simply makes up stories.

"I think Donald Trump has degraded over time," said O'Brien. "I mean, he is not a particularly sophisticated man. He has got a very weak memory, and he substitutes for both of those problems by being an 'incredible' or 'fabulous.' He will make up a story or a fact to support any view he has of what's going on in the world around him. And he is very shameless about [not]feeling any regret when he does that."
In June, Trump turns 78 years old, but O’Brien said that he's been doing it since he was close to 70.
"And, he has never really been held to account for it," said the biographer. "But even with all of that considered, there has been real degrading in his final capacity, I think, since 2016. His words are gummier. He makes innumerable mistakes, as you referenced. He is slower. He is foggier. And of course, they are trying to make this issue with Joe Biden, who is also slow and foggy. But at the end of the day, Donald Trump is much less sharp and acute than he was when he ran in 2016."
The New York Times was chastised over the weekend for its glowing review of Trump, while the site has been hammering Biden for his mental acuity for weeks.
O'Brien closed by saying, "There's not a lot there when you pull the cover back."
