My grandma is 80 and is wrinkle free – people think she should be a model, it’s thanks to her skincare routine
A GRANDDAUGHTER has revealed what her 80 year olds grandmothers ‘secret’ is to being wrinkle free.
Yuri Lee decided to do a skincare tutorial alongside her nan – and showed off a step by step guide, so others can take tips too.
She boasted of her ‘no filler’ and ‘no Botox’ face, whilst explaining how her grandmother is ‘ageing gracefully.’
The pair first went through her grandma’s skincare routine, which included using a face mist by the brand Manvis.
This is by a Japanese brand, and costs £38.88 when bought online.
Yuri said: “In the morning skincare routine, she loves the spray. It is a Japanese brand.”
Next up, she uses one push of the Manvis Vitamin C serum, before then going onto use the restore gel and lotion.
Beauty experts usually recommend waiting 30 seconds between applying each lotion to allow the product to absorb into the skin, but Yuri’s grandmother goes against that rule.
She continues to apply each product without leaving a break between.
Speaking to her grandmother, Yuri says: “Maybe you have no wrinkles because of this cream.”
Yuri, 36, is 44 years apart from her grandmother and the pair are both wrinkle free.
Talking about her grandmother, Yuri says: “Every time I see her her face is just glowing, no wrinkles, plump and just beautiful.”
The grandmother then finishes her skincare routine, by using La Prairie Foundation – which doesn’t come cheap.
The luxury foundation can cost between £150 to £225 and can be bought from high end stores including Harrods and Harvey Nichols.
The granddaughter and grandmother tutorials often get lots of attention with over 1.8 million people ‘liking’ them.
And thousands comment too.
One wrote: “Honestly at this point, y’all have GREAT genes. I don’t think it’s the products. Gorgeous girlies.”
Another added: “I think Japanese skincare products are superb..so far I’ve been using SKII for three years now and people always ask me what makes your face look glowing.”
A third said: “The ‘slap it on and go’ method definitely works for her!”
What are the best beauty hacks?
Social media is currently full of anti-ageing and skincare hacks but what really works?
TikTokker Danicolexx has over five Million views for her Dark Circle Remedy.
The Video leaves viewers wondering if this really works, with the comments high in questions.
Clinic Lead at Face the Future, Kimberley Medd, tells Fabulous: “The skin under our eyes is especially thin and delicate, around 0.2mm thick compared to an average of 1.4mm thickness on the majority of the body.
The ‘slap it on and go’ method definitely works for her!

“This becomes more pronounced as we age as collagen breaks down and discolouration increases under the eyes.
“Dark circles can be caused by genetics, not getting enough sleep, ageing, periorbital hyper-pigmentation, excess sugar or alcohol in our diet, food allergies, B12 deficiency, thyroid conditions, chronic inflammation or vasodilation.”
Dark circles can be improved
Caffeine has been used in eye products from creams to pads as a way to alleviate fluid build up under the eyes to help de-puff and re-energise the skin around the eye area.
Kimberley says: “This is because coffee is a diuretic so it can help with boosting the circulation of blood flow which in turn helps to flush any build-up under your eyes.
“Coffee also has naturally exfoliating properties and is anti-inflammatory, reduces redness and can work for sensitive skin types.
“The at-home DIY mask is mixed with water, honey and ground coffee in this instance for a thicker consistency, then left on to dry before removing.
“The addition of honey is not necessary, but helps hold the ingredients and also acts as a skin softener for further benefits under the eyes.
“The water and coffee mix can be used alone, and left in the fridge to absorb and create a refreshing texture when applied.
“However there is no evidence that the at home treatment has any effect.”
