Who is Air Fryer on The Masked Singer?

THE Masked singer’s semi-final show saw two more elaborately disguised stars unmasked.

One whacky and wonderful character to bid farewell to the competition was Air Fryer – but who was the famous face behind the shiny costume? Here’s everything you need to know.

Who is Air Fryer on The Masked Singer?

In February 2024, The Masked Singer waved goodbye to Air Fryer following an energetic performance of Anastacia’s hit I’m Outta Love.

Sadly, the star hiding behind the costume received the fewest audience votes and was unmasked to be none other than Hollywood actress Keala Settle.

Keala has appeared in a number huge movies including the 2017 hit The Greatest Showman.

Following the shock result, the star told the judges that they did not make “many close” guesses – even though one of the hints pointed to her Golden Globe win for the hit musical.

Discussing her time of the fan-favourite guessing game, Keala said: “You have this facade that you’re used to, you know, performing, being that person, and when this is off? That’s off, this is what they’re looking for.

“It was a massive learning experience and it was a game changer.”

The star also appeared surprises that previous guest judge, and Absolutely Fabulous star Jennifer Saunders, did not uncover her identity prior to the the semi-final show, as they had starred in a London musical adaption of Sister Act together.

Discussing the performance, Mo Gilligan said the rendition was “absolutely phenomenal” before adding: “Some of the songs you were singing, it was almost like this show could go on for like 10 years and we would never know.”

What was the Air Fryer clues?

Since they first appeared on The Masked Singer in week one, Air Fryer dropped lots of hints as to who they could be.

The main clues were:

• “Being on The Masked Singer is petrifying and freeing all at the same time.”
• “Dressed to impress, but these sparkles cost extra.”
• “Tonight’s performance is gonna sizzle.”
• During one video there was an Oscar covered in cobwebs.
• A market stall was also spotted in the background of one video.
• Air Fryer’s week five item clues included a makeup kit, a Nun and a penguin snow globe.

Who did the judges think Air Fryer could be?

The judges – Davina McCall, Mo Gilligan, Jonathan Ross, and Rita Ora – were busy trying to work out just who Air Fryer could be.

During the show, Ross guessed it could be RuPaul behind the costume, while Ora said it was model Sophie Dahl.

McCall suggested Jacqueline Jossa and Gilligan went with Scarlett Moffatt.

After hearing the Riddle Me This clue, Ora changed her guess to Jessie J and Ross said it could be Gemma Collins.

After week six, Gilligan said Ella Henderson, McCall and Lenny Henry guessed Leona Lewis.

Ora suggested Dannii Minogue and Ross went with Ashley Roberts.

Who did fans think Air Fryer could be?

Viewers had also been throwing out their theories, and some thought that Towie star Gemma Collins was the celeb hiding behind the mask.

With a strong hint to Essex and possibly Towie, judge Jonathan guessed that the star could be the one and only Gemma.

And some fans seemed to agree with him, as they hurriedly took to X, formerly known as Twitter.

One fan wrote: “Actually think Jonathan Ross is on the money with Gemma Collins or someone from Towie. Also thinking of Birds of a Feather which was set in Chigwell #TheMaskedSinger.”

Another echoed: “I’m liking the Gemma Collins suggestion! Help from a girl from Chigwell – she was on I’m a celeb with Vicki Michelle! #maskedsinger.

Other guesses included Gogglebox and Great British Menu star Andi Oliver, who fans thought was behind the mask.

One user said: “I think Air Fryer is the tv chef Andi Oliver. She used to be a singer. All the references to cooking and the hairdressers scissors could be an ironic nod to the fact she has no hair?”

Another added: “Air Fryer is Andi Oliver. She used to be the lead singer of Rip Rag + Panic.”

“Air fryer Andi Oliver, she’s been a singer, a chef, a judge on master chef and scissors could be because she doesn’t have any hair,” noted a third.
