I’m a 46-year-old newborn mum, trolls say it’s ‘not fair’ I had a baby so old & slam me for moaning about how hard it is
A WOMAN has revealed that she and her partner went through IVF to have a child, but since welcoming their bundle of joy, nasty keyboard warriors have made a variety of cruel comments.
Jules, 46, explained that mean trolls say it’s ‘not fair’ that she had a baby in her forties, whilst others slam her for moaning about how hard being a parent is.
Posting on social media, the mother shared the nasty things trolls have said to her, as she penned: “Here are three recent hate comments I’ve received as a 46-year-old geriatric mum following IVF treatment.”
As Jules held her beautiful baby boy, she claimed that mean trolls have said to her: “Congratulations on your baby. IVF has aged you.”
Clapping back to the nasty remark, Jules penned: “Mate. I’m almost 47. I have a baby and a teenager.
“Age and life have aged me. And I wouldn’t change a single thing.”
Not only this, but Jules then claimed that trolls have slammed: “Having a baby halfway to a century. It’s not fair.”
But to this, Jules asked: “Not fair on who? The utterly loved and looked after child or the utterly in love parents?”
As her son laughed for the video, she then questioned: “Does he look happy to you?”
If that wasn’t enough, the mum-of-two then revealed that nasty keyboard warriors have also said to her: “It really annoys me when IVF parents moan about how hard parenting is. Like, you wanted this.”
But Jules set the record straight as she wrote: “Does that mean you also never mention how hard you find that job/house/life you wanted so bad?”
She then confirmed: “Parenting IS hard. And we CAN share that side of it too. Right?”
As the mother waved to the camera, clearly not phased by the rude remarks, she concluded: “Thank you for the comments anonymous keyboard warriors.”
The TikTok clip, which was posted under the username @ivfjules, has clearly left many open-mouthed, as it has quickly amassed 10,100 views.
Social media users were left stunned at the nasty comments and many rushed to send messages of love and support to Jules.
Parenting IS hard. And we CAN share that side of it too
Not only this, but many parents of a similar age also opened up in the comments about their experiences with trolls.
One person said: “I felt this. I’m pregnant at 42 (first baby) and I’ve been called “selfish” for it.”
To this, Jules replied: “You are absolutely not – don’t listen to the negative comments. Your body. Your life and one incredibly wanted and loved little bub.”
Another added: “I had twins at 44. It’s nobody else’s business. Enjoy your baby.”
A third commented: “Congratulations! I’m an “old” mum. Too. First babies, twins at 43. Now 47 and also have an eight month old. So happy for you…and me!”
Meanwhile, someone else wrote: “People are so ignorant! You’re beautiful and such a good mum!! The haters can hate elsewhere.”
