Snow emergency declared in Catskill
CATSKILL, N.Y. (NEWS10) -- A snow emergency has been declared in the Village of Catskill. The snow emergency will start at 8 p.m. on Monday.
According to the Village of Catskill, all cars must be parked on the odd side of the street from 8 p.m. to 8 a.m. Cars then must be moved and parked on the even side of the street from 8 a.m. to 8 p.m. Cars must continue to switch sides every 12 hours until the snow emergency is over.
Residents with driveways are asked to use them. From Monday, starting at 11 p.m. and ending at 8 a.m., there will be no parking on Main Street from Greene Street to Summit Avenue for effective snow removal.
Residents who usually park on Main Street are asked to use municipal parking lots. Anyone in violation of the snow emergency rules will be towed and/or ticketed at their own expense. Anyone with questions can contact the Village of Catskill Police at (518) 943-2244.
