Blues legend Taj Mahal to perform in Albany

ALBANY, N.Y. (NEWS10) -- The Egg in Albany will be hosting a performance by legendary blues artist Taj Mahal. The show is scheduled for March 7.

The four-time Grammy Award winner has released over 30 studio albums across his career, his latest being 2023's "Savoy". The multi-instrumentalist's sound combines elements of blues and jazz with aspects of world music, featuring inspiration from the American South, Africa, and the Caribbean.

Taj Mahal will be joined for the performance by renowned kora virtuoso and vocalist Sona Jobarteh. The show is set to begin at 7:30 p.m.
