FORECAST DISCUSSION:
Happy Monday!
After a beautiful week and weekend in Central Ohio, we settle into a much more seasonable pattern. Monday is still fairly nice, starting with some sunshine, before the clouds return late in the day. Highs top out in the upper 40s, close to 50, with a light breeze. We'll then see a storm system tracking to our south tonight. That will bring a bit of a wintry mix, mainly for our southeastern counties.
Current model trends keep the bulk of that system southeast of I-71, which is where we'll see the greatest chances for some light snow accumulations. Totals, at best, look to be in the 1-2" range, but of course, a lot of that will melt fairly quickly, as surface temperatures are well above freezing following a warm week in Ohio.
That system exits early Tuesday morning, leading to just a few spots to watch for in our southeastern areas for the Tuesday morning drive. For the rest of the day, expect a few scattered flurries, with highs dropping back close to 40, with a slight breeze.
For Wednesday, we'll see a bit more sunshine, with highs in the low to middle 40s.
Thursday highs warm back into the upper 40s, but a quick-moving system will bring the chance for a few very light and spotty rain showers, mainly into Thursday afternoon.
