Charley Hoffman's playoff loss enough to earn Riviera spot

With his playoff loss on Sunday at the WM Phoenix Open, Charley Hoffman secured a spot in this week's Genesis Invitational at Riviera Country Club.

Hoffman's runner-up finish to Nick Taylor in Scottsdale, Ariz., earned him a $900,000 check and 300 FedEx Cup points. That moved him into fourth place in the Aon Swing 5 with 315.65 points.
