You can get paid for watching shows on Netflix, Disney Plus & Amazon Prime – I do it every week, it only takes 2 minutes
A SAVVY side-hustler has revealed that you can actually get paid for watching streaming sites like Netflix and Amazon Prime.
Neesha Craig shared the clever hack via a video posted to her TikTok channel, @thefunmoneyclub.
She often uses the account, along with her blog, The Fun Money Club, to share easy ways to make a bit of extra cash on the side.
The side-hustle pro said: “I’ve been doing this side hustle for two years now, and it literally takes me two minutes to do.”
Neesha explained that the market research website YouGov, will pay you in cash for sharing your viewing data for streaming sites.
She said that all you have to do is, once a week, log into your YouGov account and share data on the streaming sites you have subscriptions to.
To do this, Neesha revealed that you need to log onto the YouGov website and click the “safe” option in the navigation menu.
“This can only be accessed via a desktop website”, she said.
When you’ve clicked on this, you will then be shown a list of streaming sites, such as Disney Plus and Netflix.
Click “update” on the streaming sites that you have a subscription for and then log in to those streaming platforms.
Your viewing data for these sites will then be shared with YouGov.
Neesha explained that, in exchange for this data you will receive points.
She said that you get 75 points the first time you share your data, and then 25 points per week, per streaming service.
This is except for YouTube, which you are only able to receive 25 points per month for.
Each point equates to 1p, meaning you get 25p for every data share you do.
Once you’ve received 5,000 points, you can withdraw this as £50 cashback to your bank account.
Neesha said that last year she was able to cash out a whopping £300 from YouGov, “for very little effort”.
