Jeff Bezos sells Amazon shares worth some $2 billion

SEATTLE, Washington: After announcing a plan to sell his shares over the next year, Amazon.com founder Jeff Bezos sold around 12 million shares worth some $2 billion.

According to a company filing on February 9, the sale occurred on February 7 and February 8.

Amazon announced last week that Bezos would sell up to 50 million shares in the firm.
