France expresses its deepest concern following the Israeli strikes in Rafah. More than 1.3 million people are currently taking refuge in Rafah. It is also a vital crossing point for delivering humanitarian aid to Gaza's population. A large-scale Israeli offensive in Rafah would create a disastrous and unjustifiable humanitarian situation on a new scale.
