Republicans cower 'like little bunny rabbits' as Trump pushes U.S. toward WWIII: analyst
Former President Donald Trump is on track to pull the U.S. into a global crisis with help from an unexpected source: "little bunny rabbits."
That's according to David J. Rothkopf, who Tuesday slammed the Republican Party for kowtowing to Trump as the former president himself kowtows to Russian President Vladimir Putin with threats to withdraw from the North Atlantic Treaty Organization upon his return to the White House.
"Now Trump has plans to put around him a group of loyalists and that group of loyalists will allow him to do whatever he wants," Rothkopf said on MSNBC. "The first thing on the international agenda is going to be pulling out of NATO, shutting it down, weakening the U.S., putting our allies at risk, putting the world at risk of World War III."
Rothkopf reminded viewers Trump stands accused of illegally taking classified documents and reportedly shared classified information with Russia.

"This is not trivial stuff," he said. "It is shocking."
The severity of these actions merited action from the Republican Party, argued Rothkopf, but there remains just one problem.
"The Republican Party is cowering like little bunny rabbits in the corner afraid of this guy who is such a threat," said Rothkopf. "If they would stand up to anything, anything at all, it would be a guy like this who puts the United States at risk."
