Corvallis woman dies in single-vehicle crash
PORTLAND, Ore. (KOIN) — The Corvallis Police Department announced a single-vehicle crash resulted in one person’s death Saturday morning.
At 8:22 a.m. on Feb. 17, Corvallis PD responded to the crash site located near Southwest Philomath Boulevard and Southwest 71st Street. Once they arrived, they found that a Lexus SUV had extensive damage after crashing into a tree.
The vehicle’s one occupant, 28-year-old Laura Ruhl, of Philomath, was found dead at the scene, with no other vehicles involved in the collision. In a statement, Corvallis PD said they are extending their “deepest condolences to the family and loved ones of Ms. Ruhl during this difficult time.”
This investigation, which shut down a portion of Philomath Boulevard for three hours Saturday, is still ongoing, police said.
