I’m a straight woman married to a gay man – we’re not romantic & he goes for Grindr hookups, I think it’s entertaining
A MARRIED couple proved unconventional unions don’t always end in divorce.
While the straight woman found out her husband was gay after they tied the knot, she doesn’t plan on leaving him.
Breland Emory Kent (@brelandemory) responded to a question asking if she was “joking” about being in a relationship with a gay man.
“Although this sounds like satire, unfortunately, it’s not,” she began in a clip, noting that it was indeed her real life.
“We are legally married, and he came out as gay later in our marriage.”
Despite the unexpected bump in the road, the couple plans to stay together for the foreseeable future, as they don’t want to ever getting married to other people again.
“If that changes, of course we’re going to get a divorce.”
Still, she finds it unlikely on her end.
“Never again. This whole situation, with my husband turning gay on me, it is not something that I would want to do again.
“And nowadays, it seems like most men are a little fruity… and I ain’t taking that chance again. So, no more marriage.”
Noting that her whole situation was “f***ing insane,” she followed up with another clip divulging that her “gay husband cheats on [her].”
With her husband nodding in agreement in the background, Breland said he “just got back from a Grindr hookup date” in which he “hooked up with one of the guys he used to bang back in the day.”
Unashamed, he showed off his hickeys.
And Breland wasn’t embarrassed either, as she denied feeling hurt by knowing her husband was on Grindr.
“I have zero romantic feelings for my gay husband,” she said in the follow-up clip.
“Him and I no longer have a romantic relationship. It’s been about five years since we have.”
Because they were friends before they were lovers, she noted that it simply went back to what it used to.
“We reverted back to a friendship type relationship.
“So, seeing him on Grindr or be with other people, I couldn’t give a s*** less. I find Grindr to be extremely entertaining, and I love seeing all the weird s*** on there.”
Viewers were captivated by her story.
“I’m never deleting this app,” one person wrote.
“There is a lot to unpack here,” added another.
