Panelists reappointed
to advisory committee
The Town Council has reappointed the members of the Advisory Design Review Group to new terms.
Josefa Buckingham, Mark Fritts, Stephen Sutro and Mark Kruttschnitt received three-year terms, while Laura Dewar received a two-year term. The board consists of design professionals who screen proposed projects for compliance with town standards.
The council approved a resolution on the appointments at its meeting on Thursday.
SAUSALITO
Board rejects pitch
to build residences
The Planning Commission has rejected a proposal for a residential development at 215 Sausalito Blvd.
The plan involved three residences, including an accessory dwelling unit, on a vacant 5,622-square-foot parcel. The city planning office opposed the project, saying it would violate design standards on height, floor area ratio, setbacks and other factors.
The commission held a hearing on the plan on Feb. 14.
TIBURON
New home proposed
on Hawthorne Drive
The Design Review Board has set a hearing next month on a home construction plan at the corner of Hawthorne Drive and Rock Hill Road.
The proposal calls for demolishing the 879-square-foot residence at 699 Hawthorne Drive and building a 2,277-square-foot, single-story home with an attached garage. The project would also involve a new 6-foot-high fence along the rear and sides of the property.
The board is scheduled to meet at 7 p.m. March 7 at Town Hall.

Commission approves
permits for 2 projects
The town Planning Commission has approved permits for building projects at two residences, said Linda Neal, a town planner.
The projects include two decks at 339 Cypress Drive and a porch enclosure and bathroom expansion at 290 Cascade Drive.
The commission held hearings on the proposals on Thursday. A scheduled hearing on a deck project at 31 Maple Ave. was canceled after the applicants withdrew the plan.
