Joe Swash ‘freaked out’ at ‘person staring at him overnight’ on campervan holiday with Stacey Solomon
JOE Swash has told how was left feeling “freaked out” after he caught “someone staring at him overnight” on his campervan holiday with Stacey Solomon.
The couple are currently enjoying a holiday in the Scottish Highlands in their swanky £70,000 motorhome.
But their trip hasn’t been going to plan so far after they left their home in Pickle Cottage on Saturday.
Just hours into their journey, the family were forced to stop after Stacey, 34, forgot to secure cupboards inside the motorhome.
As a result, everything fell out and wreaked havoc in the back of the motorhome.
The following day wasn’t much better after they spent the night at Loch Ness Caravan Park in Inverness.
After they left for the Isle of Skye, the couple, who have five kids together, realised they left behind Stacey’s bright pink suitcase and handbag.
Luckily, a local found her bags and managed to return them to her after contacting her on social media.
Just as things couldn’t get any worse, Stacey revealed that they were forced to sleep in a car park after another mishap two nights ago.
The couple didn’t realise that caravan sites shut during the winter in Scotland and slept in another car park last night as a result.
But Joe has told how his overnight kip in a church last night was even worse than the night before when he was convinced he thought someone was watching him all night.
After waking up this morning, he realised it was a creepy post that was painted to look like a king or a prince and was even more freaked out.
In a clip in his Instagram story, Joe told fans: “So this is where we spent last night – car park number two outside this little church.
“Got to say, I think I preferred last night’s car park and the day before.
“So if anyone is coming to the Isle of Skye and you’re interested in the car parks, let us know because we’ve slept in most of them.”
Showing fans the window above the driver seat of the motorhome, Joe continued: “Last night I slept up there and I woke up and looked across the road… and I was sure someone was staring at me and it really freaked me out.”
Showing the painted post, he said: “I got up this morning – no wonder it freaked me out!
“Look at the state of it!”
Despite some of the chaos they’ve faced over the last few days, fans have been quick to encourage the family on their journey.
They flocked to comment on Stacey’s recent post and wished them well on their travels through Scotland.
One person said: “I think a TV show of Joe and Stacey on their travels is a great idea!!”
Another added: “Sure you and the family are going to love Scotland as much as we do. Have a great family adventure.”
Someone else wrote: “This is amazing. The memories made here will last a lifetime”.
While a fourth chimed in: “Beautiful part of the world to visit. Enjoy making memories with your gorgeous family”.
