Love Island fans share shock theory on why Callum and Molly didn’t get back together during their time in the villa
LOVE Island fans have shared a theory on why Callum Jones and Molly Smith didn’t get back together during their time in the All Stars villa.
Viewers were hoping they’d rekindle their relationship in the spin-off show after dating for three and a half years – and some even questioned if they were faking their split.
Viewers were on tenterhooks as they at first appeared to engage in chats about what went wrong when the parted ways in September.
Molly claimed Callum had lost interest and one conversation ended up with her in tears.
Meanwhile, another lad swooped in and made a play for Molly early on.
Taking to Reddit, one viewer suggested: “Molly wanted Callum back 100% and Callum didn’t fight hard enough for her.
“I don’t think he genuinely knew how, I think if Chris didn’t kiss her on the terrace they would of got back together. I blame Chris X.”
Their passionate embrace came after Callum was forced to watch Chris grafting Molly earlier in the day.
He offered her a massage in front of Callum as the heartbroken lad watched from the other side of the pool.
Chris later made a beeline for Manchester beauty Molly after she had a row with Callum.
After Callum and Molly’s attempted to work through their problems, he took her up to the terrace.
While up there the pair they quickly got closer as Chris disarmed her with his banter, and joked that if you stare into someone’s eyes for two minutes you are meant to fall in love.
He said: “Well for women, it’s over two minutes. For men it’s actually 8.2 seconds…I’ll be there a lot sooner than you will be, but I think we should try it.”
Molly replied: “You wanna fall in love with me?”
Chris answered back: “We can try, it’s an experiment…” before diving in for a kiss.
Weeks later, on Monday night, Molly won All Stars with late arrival Tom Clare.
The pair had gone head-to-head with Callum Jones and Jess Gale.
Talking about navigating romance within the villa with her ex Callum there, Molly told host Maya Jama in their final interviews: “I think obviously from the outside looking in, people won’t understand.
“We’re in an intense environment and you’ve got to get along so it kind of forced us to be friends.
“We probably wouldn’t be at this stage on the outside, it probably would have just been a bit awkward, but I feel like it’s got us to a place that we never would have gotten to, and I’m actually grateful for that.”
