‘Calling all shower Lushies!’ Lush fans spot bath-bomb alternative but some think they’re a waste of money
THE POPULAR high street retailer Lush has launched a special bath bomb for those who only have a shower – however, not everyone will be racing to purchase it.
Lush have long been known for their incredible cruelty-free and vegan products – and if you’re a beauty fan who doesn’t have access to a bath, then this latest product is for you.
That’s right, according to the brand, which has over 100 branches across the UK, you can now enjoy the same signature scent and fizz as the cult favourite bath bombs – but in the shower.
”Calling all shower lushies!” the retailer recently shared the news in a video posted on TikTok.
The new Shower Bombs have been specifically designed for ”all those who get serious FOMO from not having a tub”, Lush said.
Available in three different aromas, the latest shower product works slightly differently than their viral bath counterparts, which sell anywhere between £3 to £14.
When held in your hands under the water, the shower bomb will fizz and expand into a fragrant mousse which can then be used to cleanse your body for a luxurious experience.
Fans of the brand can currently pick up the shower bombs in three scents – Sleepy, Not Sleepy and Comfort Zone.
The Sleepy shower bomb is perfect as a little treat at the end of a long working week, as the relaxing lavender will help you ”sleep better”, whilst the ”comforting tonka” will ”ease stress before bedtime”.
Meanwhile, its more brighter sister – the yellow Not Sleepy – boasts notes of ”sparkling citrus” and features ”ground white rice-filled foam” that will gently exfoliate your skin.
The third addition to the range – the bright pink Comfort Zone – will hug you with its ”sweet essential oils” of blackcurrant ”to calm your mind and body”.
Since their launch, the products – which retail for £3 – have already proved to be a hit amongst delighted shoppers, who’ve given them a positive five-star rating online.
One customer said: ” I use at the end of my shower and I smell fantastic and my skin is fabulously soft!”
Someone else chimed in: ”I love this so much. I would buy this if this was in a body wash.”
”I wasn’t expecting much of this but was so pleasantly surprised. I loved the smell and the colour, but the feel is the best part,” a third penned.
”Not just how it feels in my hands as it foams, but then sliding it over my skin, it felt so smooth and rich.
”Loved the way my skin felt afterwards when I was dry, too.”
However, despite the hype online, there has also been some criticism amongst social media users, who reckon the product is ”a waste”.
One TikTok user said: ”£3 for a single use “shower bomb” which is literally just for the smell? What a waste.”
”I love the idea but feel like that will be expensive just for the sent,” another agreed.
A disappointed fan of the brand wrote: ”Love a shower bomb, but I find these pointless, no real smell.”
