IPL 2024: Sarfaraz Khan Set to Join Kolkata Knight Riders, Reports

Kolkata Knight Riders are all set to make a big move and bring in Sarfaraz Khan according to the reports for the upcoming edition of the Indian Premier League (IPL). In 2015, Sarfaraz Khan made his IPL debut with Royal Challengers Bangalore (RCB), but was released in 2019. He was further picked by Punjab Kings (PBKS) for the following season after which he was acquired by Delhi Capitals (DC) in February 2022.

A report that was released by Anandbazar Patrika stated that Gautam Gambhir who is the newly appointed mentor of KKR has advocated the inclusion of Sarfaraz in the team. The report further claims that Chennai Super Kings (CSK) and Royal Challengers Bangalore (RCB) have shown their interest in signing him after his incredible Test debut against England.

RCB- 2.85 CR

KKR- 1.35 CR

CSK- 1 CR

Sarfaraz did play for DC, RCB and PBKS but failed to make an impactful impression in any of the matches throughout the seasons. He only scored 53 runs in four innings during the IPL 2023 for DC with and average of 22.5 and strike rate of 130.58.

In total he has amassed 585 runs in 50 games during his whole IPL campaign.
