Length Of Contract For Neil Harris At Millwall Identified

Neil Harris is set to replace Joe Edwards as Millwall boss and the contract length the Lions are handing him has been identified.

Edwards took over from Gary Rowett at the Den earlier this season, but his tenure has not produced the required results.

Millwall are worried about being dragged into the drop zone in the Championship and have decided to replace Edwards.

They are turning to a familiar face in the shape of Harris and, according to the South London Press, Millwall will hand him a contract running for the next 18 months if everything can be agreed.

Harris will look to steady the ship at Millwall and then kick on next season, when he will also be at the helm.

The 46-year-old, who turned out for Millwall as a player, managed the Lions between 2015 and 2019.

He is currently in charge of League One side Cambridge United, but is answering the call from his former club.

Edwards is expected to be sacked by Millwall today after 19 games in charge, while Harris will be assisted by David Livermore.
