Troops from the Trishakti Corps of the Indian Army rescued 500 tourists stranded in Gangtok, East Sikkim, due to heavy snowfall and inclement weather. Around 175 vehicles were stranded at Natu La on February 21. The army provided prompt medical care, hot refreshments, meals, and safe transportation to help the tourists reach safety. The TriShakti Corps, while guarding the borders in Sikkim, is always prepared to assist the civil administration and people.
