I won’t gatekeep my best drugstore buys as a makeup artist – there’s a 10/10 dupe for Charlotte Tilbury’s $49 foundation
A MAKEUP artist proved you don’t need to drop all your cash on pricey products to get the glam you want.
She revealed her go-to drugstore items that are as good as the real thing.
Kaela Davidson (@makeupbykaela_) is a makeup artist who doesn’t believe in gatekeeping.
In an effort to guide her followers in the realm of beauty, she shared her favorite drugstore foundations, concealers, mascara, and more that won’t cost you much.
First up was the L’Oreal Paris Le Skinny Brow, which will help you achieve the smooth, bushy look that’s very in vogue.
“Love it forever and always. So easy to work with,” she began in the clip.
At only $9, she said it’s a dupe for the pricey Benefit brow pencil that’s more than double the price.
Next on her list was Elf’s Halo Glow Liquid Filter, which costs just $14 and gets a “10/10” from Kaela.
“[It’s a] Charlotte Tilbury dupe,” she said, comparing it to the $48 product. “Will always have this in my kit.”
Sticking with Elf, she said to reach for their Power Grip Primer, which costs only $9.
“Milk primer dupe. Honestly can’t tell the difference. Your makeup won’t budge with this,” she said about the primer.
If you’re hoping for more Charlotte Tilbury lookalikes, she’s got you covered, as the $7 Maybelline Setting Powder is reminiscent of the Tilbury Pressed Powder.
“Pores be gone with this. 10/10,” she said.
And Elf’s $9 Halo Glow Blush Beauty Wand is even better than the Tilbury version.
Looking to cover up some pimples? The Maybelline Fit Me Concealer works just as well as the Nars one, but only costs $3.
“So creamy and easy to blend.”
Kaela had “no words” for her next item: Maybelline’s $9 Lash Sensational Sky High Mascara.
“I won’t use any other mascara.”
And finally, to get that bronzed glow so many of us are lacking, she recommended Physicians Formula Murumuru Better Bronzer, which costs just $13.
“Such a creamy bronzer. Always looks flawless on the skin.”
