I’m guilty of forgetting to clean 5 places but they have 20x more germs than your toilet – tons of people are the same
WHETHER you’re an avid cleaner or you prefer to give your home a quick dust, you’re probably forgetting these places.
A cleaning fanatic has shared the top grubby five areas people tend to overlook.
Anna Louisa (@anna_louisa_at_home) showed her followers each forgotten place as she cleaned them in her video.
“Hands up! Who’s guilty of overlooking these places? I definitely am,” the TikToker told her viewers.
First, she advised her audience to wipe down the baseboards throughout their homes.
Anna demonstrated how to quickly tackle the paneling along your walls using a Swiffer mop.
For her next recommendation, she suggested regularly polishing your door handles with a microfiber cloth.
She also wiped down her walls by bringing out her Swiffer mop once again.
Next, Anna showed her viewers the everyday object that most people forget to clean.
Using a microfiber cloth, she wiped down the remote control for her TV, taking care to remove any grime between the buttons.
Finally, she used her microfiber cloth on another part of the home that gets used on a daily basis, light switches.
She warned her audience that several of the places contain high levels of bacteria and need to be cleaned regularly
“Some of these areas such as the door handles, remote controls, and light switches can harbor 20 times more germs than your toilet seat,” Anna explained.
Her followers shared their thoughts on the tips in the comments section.
“I forget to clean the obvious stuff,” wrote one viewer.
“I am obsessed with light switches and remotes. I steam my walls every now and then,” said another TikTok user.
“Ugh, I need to clean my walls!” commented a third person.
